Ronaldo who?

Hi, My name is Ronaldo and I am an EFL* teacher in Brazil. I was born in the capital of my country, Brasília, and I have been working with ELT for 8 years.

I currently work for the binational center Casa Thomas Jefferson and am taking a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics. Even though my research is not about language learning strategies, this is a topic that interests me a lot, for I see great power in the strategies especially for EFL* learners, who don't have the same input and, thus, practice that ESL* learners have outside the classroom.

EFL - English as a Foreing Langue: it is the learning or teaching of English to speakers of other languages in countries where English is not the native language. Example: teaching/learning English in Brazil (my case).

ESL - English as a Second Language: it is the learning or teaching of English to speakers of other languages in countries where English is the native language. Example: teaching/learning English in the United States.
